Couture Fashion Week Partners with Tuesday's Children in its Support of Victims of Terrorism

In its tradition of support for charity organizations, Couture Fashion Week New York has announced that it is partnering with Tuesday's Children at its next fashion event. Couture Fashion Week will be held 10-12 September 2010 at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel on New York's Park Avenue.

Tuesday's Children is a non-profit family service organization that has made a long term commitment to every individual who was directly affected by the events of September 11, 2001. Tuesday’s Children has developed a unique platform of programs that foster the mental health and well being of families dealing with trauma, grief and physical illness. Based on a proven methodology of healing through community, Tuesday’s Children's mission includes Project COMMON BOND, an initiative that reaches out to young adults from around the world who have been directly impacted by terrorism as well as such programs as Mentoring, Career Paths, Helping Heals, and the First Responder Alliance. Donations help the charity fulfill “The Promise” of being there to support the 9/11 children into adulthood while continuing to address the evolving needs of the 9/11 population. Tuesday's Children will also help those who have been similarly impacted by global acts of terrorism by sharing knowledge and experience with other organizations responding to international terrorism.

Since 2003 Couture Fashion Week has presented a series of couture and luxury high fashion shows multiple times each year in New York City, Palm Beach, and other selected cities and countries. The event presents runway shows by exceptional designers from around the globe and also features world-class entertainment, exhibits of fine art and luxury products/services, plus VIP dinners and receptions.
