The unique hand crafted shoe designs of Silvia Campbell will be accessorizing one of the glamorous Couture Fashion Week runway shows in New York in February 2009. The original shoe designs have been custom made especially for the fashion collection of designer and producer Andres Aquino. The fashion show will be held on Saturday 14 February 2009 at 4:00 p.m. at the world-famous Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.
London-based Silvia Campbell Shoes is a luxury ladies footwear label. After graduating with distinction from the London College of Fashion with a degree in Footwear Design and Technology, Ms. Campbell trained with several top craftsmen in the footwear industry. She sought experience and worked with John Lobb, Ltd. - the most exquisite bespoke shoemakers - as well as Jimmy Choo. She also worked with Freed of London, the famous ballet and dancewear shoe company. To build on her natural design flair and talent for shoe making, Ms. Campbell decided to launch her own label and Silvia Campbell Shoes was born.
Each of Ms. Campbell's designs is client specific, a one-of-a-kind custom made pair of shoes. She offers an impressive combination of exquisite designs, not only creating style and comfort to match an outfit with an air of glamour and sophistication, but giving the wearer a perfect hand made pair of shoes that is totally hand crafted in the UK from beginning to end.
"I look for inspiration for my designs from within each of my clients," says Silvia Campbell. "She becomes the centre of my design ideas. My aim is to design shoes that complement her outfits, and pick up her own sense of style. Shoes are about confidence, my designs are about making her feel supremely confident, which can only be achieved if she is delighted with the shoes she is wearing."
Couture Fashion Week is a multi-day event showcasing couture and luxury fashion. It also includes exhibits of luxury brands and fine art as well as world-class entertainment and receptions. The event is held in top venues in New York City, Palm Beach, Florida and other selected cities and is attended by upscale consumers, invited VIPs, the press and high-end store buyers.
