Couture Fashion Week and Puerta de Europa: Linking Fashion from Madrid to New York

Couture Fashion Week, the prestigious New York-based luxury fashion event, recently partnered with Expotecnic SRL, producers of Puerta de Europa, one of the most important bridal fashion events in Spain. The joint cooperation agreement helps link Spanish fashion designers with the American market, and attract American and international attention to the Madrid event which includes a day of elegant bridal fashion shows, featuring some of Spain's top designers, along with a multi-day trade show.

Couture Fashion Week and Bridal Fashion Week producer Andres Aquino recently attended the Pasarela Puerta de Europa de Moda Nupcial in Madrid. This event presented some of the most important bridal designers in Spain including Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, Charo Péres, Duyos, Isabel Aguado,  Javier Larrainzar, José Luis Novias, Elio Berhanyer, Villais, Devota & Lomba, Ana Torres, and Miquel Suay.  Some of the fashion industry's top models also took part including Madeleine Hjort, Denise Sommers, Martina Klein, Eva Gonzalez, Veronica Blume and Clara Mas. Spain is working to take the lead in European bridal fashion, and the collections were exquisite and beautifully presented in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere at the Teatro Circo Price, followed a week later by a large trade fair with close to 150 bridal-related exhibitors at the Parque Ferial Juan Carlos I, Madrid’s main trade fair venue.

Eva Jimenez, an international representative of Expotecnic SRL, attended Couture Fashion Week held at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City in February 2007 to promote the Madrid event.
