Marina Weston Joins USA International Fashion Shows Team
USA International Fashion Shows is pleased
to announce that Marina Weston has joined its staff. Ms Weston's background
includes experience in sales, banking and linguistics including serving as a
bank manager in her native country of Latvia. She is trilingual in Latvian,
Russian and English.
Marina Weston will be responsible for
developing and implementing strategies to bring more sponsors and advertisers to
USA International Fashion Shows. "Ms. Weston brings to the table not only her
great marketing ability but also her natural people-to-people communications
skills," according to Andres Aquino, founder and producer of USA International
Fashion Shows “We have great expectations based on her diverse communications
and creative abilities as well as her strong desire to deliver results."
Ms. Weston’s language skills allow her to communicate with the Russian-speaking
market and she has taken charge of maintaining a mirror web site in Russian of
the company's web portal. She is also a painter and crafter handpainting
decorative household accessories and clothing.
"Ms. Weston’s’ ability to find creative solutions is a definite plus when approaching sponsors and negotiating deals with corporations that are getting involved with the couture shows," notes Mr. Aquino. "She is a perfect match for our Champagne Fashion Brunch series"
The much talked about Champagne Fashion
Brunch series has reached a new plateau after a successful season showing Spring
2005 couture collections. During New York's Fashion Week in February 2005 these
fashion events will be showcasing designers from Switzerland, Greece, the
Dominican Republic and the USA. Already scheduled for future show dates in 2005
are designers from Bulgaria, India, and Lebanon among other countries. Past
fashion shows have included designers from Russia, South Africa, Colombia,
Ecuador, England and Venezuela among other countries.
In her role as sponsor liaison in the United States, Marina Weston will also be
involved in marketing and PR in general. “I’m very excited about the creative
and business opportunities I see with this event," says Ms. Weston. “And it will
be fun to be part of these chic events." She also agrees with Mr. Aquino that
the USA International Fashion Shows represent a return to elegance and style in
New York City. Ms Weston, a fashion model herself for upscale fashion catalogs,
enjoys the coverage by the international press, the presence of an international
audience and fashion and boutique buyers who come to view the collections, which
include lavish accessories, dramatic makeup, and trend setting hairstyles.
The USA International Fashion Shows has already scheduled shows for most of 2005
and is aggressively attracting sponsors and investors. Events are held in
exquisite venues in New York City. An alternative fashion platform for emerging
as well as established couture designers from around the world, the event feeds
the New York appetite for more and diverse fashion resources.
In addition to the benefits of traditional
fashion weeks, USA International Fashion Shows offers participating designers a
continued business presence in New York and the USA through a series of
marketing tools including the Internet, direct contact with major department
stores, selected boutiques, specialty stores and VIPs who purchase luxury ticket
items, as well as national and international press coverage.
