Australian and Italian designer Cristina Nitopi will return to Couture Fashion Week with a fresh collection of inspired womenswear couture designs. Part of the finale of the upcoming season's event, the fashion show will be held at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at the world-famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel on New York's legendary Park Avenue.
In her past fashion shows at Couture Fashion Week, Ms. Nitopi has presented elegant and modern ready-to-wear designs for both men and women. The designer has now turned her focus to couture with fresh insight and creative drive. Much of her color palette and silhouettes seen in the designer's creations are reminiscent of her Italian heritage.
A deeply spiritual and religious person, Ms. Nitopi find inspiration for her designs in meditation, spiritual healing and connecting with her
higher self. The designer says, "I would like to dedicate this collection to Lady Mary Mother of Jesus and Saint Michael. Thank you for your ongoing protection, guidance, energy and inspiration."
The Sydney-based designer continues to move towards expanding her label outside Australia, and acknowledges the support and love of her family and friends in her ventures.
Couture Fashion Week is a multi-day event showcasing couture and luxury fashion. It also includes exhibits of luxury brands and fine art as well as world-class entertainment and receptions.
