Couture Fashion Week Set to Dazzle New York City
New York Fashion Week gets underway in September with its hectic round of runway
shows, an exciting event will be an important part of the fashion scene.
Couture Fashion Week®,
produced by USA International Fashion Shows®,
is a 3-day series of fashion shows to be held September 7 through 9, 2005
featuring fine designers from around the world as well as the USA. Serving as a
platform for outstanding fashion and accessories designers to showcase their
creations to the demanding New York fashion crowd, the event attracts press
coverage, upscale fashion buyers as well as socialites and other affluent
fashion consumers. This season's runway shows
will be held at the
elegant Westside Loft, 336
West 37th Street, (between 8th and 9th Avenues, New York City.
Lavish
accessories, dramatic makeup and trend-setting hair styles,
along with the
stunning fashions, make these shows unforgettable. The shows are also a unique
opportunity for savvy sponsors to reach an affluent fashion-conscious market.
For event founder and producer Andres Aquino, Couture Fashion Week is a the logical extension of the trajectory that started when he first invited designers Clive Rundle from South Africa and Lourdes Libman from the Dominican Republic along with other excellent designers to be part of the realization of the dream of bringing true couture to the highly demanding New York fashion market. The following year Mr. Aquino worked with famed Russian designer Helen Yarmak who showed $20 million in fur coats and jewelry at the season's most lavish fashion show in New York City. That event increased the prestige of USA International Fashion Shows and slowly but surely, the company has continued to establish a reputation as producers of upscale fashion events. Other impressive productions have included an exquisite couture fashion show for the launch of the Maybach by Mercedes-Benz in Greenwich, Connecticut, fashion shows for a society crowd in Palm Beach, for the elite Crystal Ball Society in New York City as well as photo shoots at the famous Le Cirque restaurant in New York. The company also produces the highly successful "Champagne Fashion Brunch" on selected Sunday afternoons in New York City, attracting an audience of upscale travelers and fashion lovers.
The September 2005 Couture Fashion Week shows feature a tremendous array of award-winning designers presenting exquisite collections. Many of these designers are well-known in their native countries, but are largely unknown in New York, until now. "Couture is fashion at its best," notes producer Andres Aquino. "It represents a fusion of fine art, skilled hand-tailoring and creativity. Without the limitation of mass production concerns, the fashion designer can make a true artistic statement."
