Antonio Da Silva. A native of Portugal, Antonio Da Silva displayed a talent for creative design at an early age.  After arriving in the United States at the age of 17, Antonio studied fashion design and pattern making while designing clothes for friends that became the toast of the New York City nightclub scene in the early 1970’s. Antonio then spent some time back in Portugal running his own business before returning the United States and settling in New Jersey.

With his proficiency in four languages and his diverse experiences in fashion, construction and the antiques field, as well as his efforts to help charities benefiting needy children in Colombia, Antonio has a unique perspective on design and on life. Clean, simple silhouettes rendered in versatile fabrics and cuts with impeccable draping are characteristics of his designs.  “I would like to be known as a designer of great change in the fashion of the new millennium,” notes Antonio Da Silva.

Antonio’s numerous fashion shows have garnered rave reviews and his glamorous creations have been worn by many celebrities including Olga Guillot, Lupita Ferrer and Katy Jurado as well as top beauty queens. Antonio is the official fashion designer of a number of Latin music awards shows including the Fame Awards, the Globe Awards and the Ace Awards. His designs have also been featured on various Univision and Telemundo television shows as well as in publications such as La Voz Hispana, Noticias del Mundo and Fama.
